The company was founded by entrepreneur Ritankar Das along with LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman and Zynga founder Mark Pincus.

The startup develops AI models that can learn how office workers complete routine tasks across different software and systems. It plans to build AI agents that can operate computers and automate business processes such as handling insurance claims and processing customs duty refund exceptions with limited human involvement.

Prentis has already secured customer contracts worth up to $50 million across industries including healthcare, manufacturing, and consumer goods, according to sources. The company expects to reach an annualized run rate of about $75 million by the third quarter, based on performance-linked contracts tied to customer savings.

The company claims its Hive-32B model performs better than competing models on computer-use benchmarks while operating at a much lower cost.
