Background-
Australian tech company SafetyCulture, which runs its European base out of Manchester, has rebranded as Mitti, marking a decade since it first opened in the city. The move signals a shift from safety management software to an all-in-one operations platform built for businesses across sectors.
The company opened its first Manchester office ten years ago, later moving into a 10,000 sq ft space at Bond on Mosley Street as its EMEA headquarters. It has since built a UK customer base of around 18,000 organizations, including Unilever, DHL, H&M, Domino’s Pizza and Network Rail.
The name Mitti, the company said, reflects “middle,” the centre of an operation where decisions get made and work happens.
EMEA Lead Dawid Jaworski said the company began as a handful of people in a small Manchester office trying to move businesses past paper checklists, and has since grown into the base serving the entire EMEA region.
He credited proximity to customers for keeping the business accountable, and noted Manchester has become the UK’s largest tech economy outside London, home to more than 10,000 tech firms.
The platform serves manufacturing, construction, retail, quick-service restaurants and energy businesses. Bury-based steelwork firm William Hare has logged over 180,000 inspections on the platform and saved a million sheets of paper.
The rebrand arrives as UK compliance tightens, with Martyn’s Law set to require emergency documentation from spring 2027 and the Building Safety Act raising inspection standards in construction
