DDN Names First Ever Chief Legal Officer From Metropolis Technologies

Prime Highlights-

  • DDN names Michelle Rosen as first ever chief legal officer.
  • Rosen brings over two decades of technology legal leadership experience.

Key Facts-

  • Rosen previously served as chief legal officer at Collibra for six years.
  • DDN provides AI data storage and data management technology from Los Angeles.

Background-

AI and data intelligence company DDN hired Michelle Rosen as its chief legal officer, marking a newly created role at the company. Rosen joins from US parking technology firm Metropolis Technologies, where she served as general counsel.

More than 20 years in legal leadership across tech sits behind Rosen, covering ground like M&A, commercial strategy, governance, securities compliance, IP and privacy. Her DDN role puts her in charge of legal, governance, regulatory and commercial matters across the company.

Los Angeles based DDN provides AI data storage and data management technology. Guido Torrini, DDN’s Chief Financial and Operating Officer, said the company needs leaders who have helped world class technology firms manage rapid growth while building organizations built to scale long term.

He said Rosen brings the right mix of strategic judgment, operational leadership and legal expertise, adding that she will play an important role as the company expands globally.

Rosen spent roughly a year and a half at Metropolis before joining DDN. Before that, she served as chief legal officer at AI and data business Collibra for more than six years.

Her earlier career includes in house roles at Delta Gali Industries, IMAX China and IMAX, along with time in private practice at Shearman and Sterling in New York.

Rosen said DDN stands as one of the most exciting technology companies in the AI industry today, citing its position as a leader in AI infrastructure and its strong growth trajectory. She said she looks forward to helping scale the business globally and building a legal organization to support DDN’s continued success.

The hire follows similar moves elsewhere in the sector. Last month, data and AI analytics firm Alteryx hired Steve Holsten as chief legal officer from ElevenX Capital, while AI business Gong appointed Joe FitzGerald to the same role in March.
