IBM and Yotta Bring Sovereign AI Agents to Indian Organizations at Scale

Background-

IBM and Yotta Data Services have rolled out the Sovereign Agentic AI Platform for Indian organizations, giving them a way to run AI agents at scale while keeping data, operations and governance controls inside India.

The platform pairs IBM’s enterprise AI technology with Yotta’s sovereign AI cloud. It runs on IBM watsonx Orchestrate, the control layer that secures, governs and manages AI agents as companies scale.

Yotta’s Shakti Cloud supplies the compute, GPU infrastructure, networking, security and operational support that enterprise AI workloads need. Shakti Studio, Yotta’s platform for model development and inference, lets organizations explore, fine-tune, deploy and run both open-source and proprietary AI models.

Sandip Patel, Managing Director of IBM India and South Asia, said evolving regulations make digital sovereignty and open-source models a core need as companies move AI from pilots to production. He added that the focus now lies in how securely, transparently and compliantly AI gets deployed, and the partnership keeps critical data, inference and governance controls in India.

Sunil Gupta, Co-Founder, MD and CEO of Yotta Data Services, said India’s AI journey needs control over data, infrastructure, compute, models, inference and operations. He noted that Yotta supplies the sovereign foundation while IBM adds enterprise and agentic AI strength, creating an end-to-end stack.

Organizations can access the platform through Yotta’s Panvel and Greater Noida cloud regions. They can apply it to security operations, document processing, HR automation and other workflows.
