Background-

Manchester law firm MSB Solicitors has named Scott Turner-Percy as its new head of business crime, a move that boosts its business crime and investigations team.

Turner-Percy has spent more than ten years guiding companies, banks, senior executives and wealthy individuals through fraud cases, financial crime matters and regulatory probes. He specializes in corporate criminal liability, asset recovery, enforcement action and investigations that cross borders.

His case history includes high-value fraud and financial crime matters with allegations running into the hundreds of millions of pounds. Clients he has represented faced inquiries from the Serious Fraud Office, the Financial Conduct Authority, the National Crime Agency and HM Revenue and Customs. He also holds Grade A status as a fraud supervisor, alongside international and in-house regulatory experience.

At MSB, he will steer the team’s next phase of growth and assist businesses, directors and individuals dealing with complex allegations and enforcement action.

Turner-Percy said the regulatory landscape keeps getting more demanding, with a single investigation often raising criminal, regulatory, civil and reputational questions together. He said clients need sound strategy that weighs legal risk against business needs. He plans to help clients meet allegations with confidence and to build a respected practice serving the region and the country.

Emma Carey, managing partner at MSB Solicitors, said his arrival marks an important step in the firm’s plan to grow its business crime services. She said his track record and enthusiasm for the work impressed the firm, and she expects new opportunities from his addition.
