Background-
Aliter Capital, the buy-and-build private equity investor in the UK business services sector, has completed fundraising for a £50 million Annex Fund to support two of its technology platforms, TXP and Serbus.
Existing institutional investors backed the fund exclusively. It sits alongside Aliter Capital II, the firm’s £134 million fund launched in 2022. The new capital funds the next phase of growth at both businesses and lets Aliter keep its existing interests.
Aliter, which has offices in Glasgow and London, first invested in both companies in 2022. It then backed three add-on acquisitions at each business. Both companies rebranded, TXP in 2025 and Serbus in 2026.
TXP is a systems integrator focused on technology consulting, development and resourcing. Serbus delivers secure networking and communications solutions for the UK’s Critical National Infrastructure.
Aliter partner Greig Brown welcomed the strong support from Aliter Capital II investors. He said both companies have great management teams with clear vision, and that the new funds will allow a wider range of strategic add-on acquisitions.
Serbus group CEO Simon Fieldhouse said the company is building a sovereign, market-leading group with security in its DNA. TXP CEO John Antunes said the backing gives the company further firepower to speed up its buy-and-build plans. Acanthus Capital advised Aliter on financial matters and Akin on legal matters.
