Background-

Lombard Odier has hired UBS veteran Christina Stäger Ernst to lead its business for ultra-wealthy clients and single family offices in German-speaking Switzerland. She starts on 1 January 2027, the bank said on Tuesday.

Stäger Ernst will work from Zurich and report to Serge Fehr, partner and head of the Swiss market at Lombard Odier. The Geneva private bank wants to grow its presence among very wealthy families and entrepreneurs in its home market.

Fehr said her grasp of ultra-wealthy families’ needs, her Swiss market experience and her client focus will help the bank expand in the region.

Stäger Ernst brings more than 25 years of experience in private banking and wealth management. At UBS, she most recently served as managing director and desk head for UHNW Switzerland Central, where she led a team and still advised selected clients herself.

Before that, she spent 14 years as a senior relationship manager in UBS’s Global Family Office and Ultra-High-Net-Worth division. She also worked as a consultant at McKinsey.

Lombard Odier serves these clients with investment advice and asset management, along with wealth planning, succession arrangements and family governance. The hire strengthens its ability to serve families with complex wealth structures.

The bank, owned by its managing partners, managed 367 billion Swiss francs in client assets at the end of June 2026. It employs 2,895 people at 26 locations in 19 countries.
