Background-
The United Arab Emirates has sent a group of AI experts to China to study how advanced technologies can support its development priorities.
The delegation comes from the Artificial Intelligence Track of the UAE National Experts Program. It met artificial general intelligence company AHS Technologies in Shanghai during a study tour of China’s AI ecosystem. The group also visited AI research institutions and six representative AI companies in Beijing and Shanghai.
The Shanghai session looked at how AI systems that plan tasks, call tools and carry out coordinated work can fit into factory scheduling, supply chain management and city services. Talks centred on secure, controllable sovereign AI for enterprises and AI-driven urban operations. Representatives from New York University Abu Dhabi, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) and Nanjing University joined.
Cao Likun, chief growth officer of AHS Technologies, said the global AI industry is growing along four fronts: infrastructure, frontier research, talent development and application deployment. He said companies sit at the heart of industrial and social value, so AI must understand business goals and work within each firm’s rules and lines of accountability. He added that scattered business knowledge needs unified modelling, permission management and validation before firms can reuse it at scale.
AHS Technologies explained the path behind Agentrix, its enterprise AI operating system. It also demonstrated SovEngine, a sovereign AI office assistant, and Super BI, a decision-support system for business leaders.
