Background
Lovable, a Stockholm-based AI startup, has signed a bigger multi-year deal with Google Cloud. The partnership lets Lovable boost its use of Google Cloud infrastructure by five times, including more access to both Anthropic’s Claude and Google’s Gemini models for developing AI software.
They didn’t disclose the financials, though. What’s more, Lovable’s agent will appear on Google Cloud’s enterprise marketplace, the Gemini Enterprise Agent Gallery, which makes it easier for big customers to buy and pay for their services. Plus, Lovable will integrate with Wiz, Google’s $32 billion cloud security acquisition from early 2026, helping spot and fix security issues in code instantly.
Lovable is one of Europe’s fastest-growing startups. In the first month of this year, the company crossed $400 million in annualised revenue, adding $100 million in a single month with just 146 employees. It claims that more than half of Fortune 500 companies use its product.
The deal carries significance for Anthropic as well. Google invested $10 billion in Anthropic earlier this year, with a further $30 billion tied to performance targets. Lovable’s expanded use of Claude through this agreement could help Anthropic meet those benchmarks.
For Google, the partnership supports its broader financial strategy. The company plans to spend between $180 billion and $190 billion in capital expenditure this year and is currently raising a record $85 billion in equity to partially fund that ambition. Keeping high-growth startups like Lovable and Anthropic on its cloud platform directly supports that goal.
