Background-
Former BBC Business anchor and global financial commentator Susannah Streeter will headline the second Tech Talk Wales event at the Celtic Manor Resort this month.
Streeter, now Chief Investment Strategist at Wealth Club, will discuss how technology, investment and business growth increasingly connect when the event returns on September 10.
The free event, running from 5pm to 8pm, will bring together members of Wales’ growing technology community to discuss emerging trends, investment opportunities and some of the challenges currently facing businesses.
Streeter spent 17 years at the BBC, where her work included interviewing global chief executives, policymakers and world leaders.
At Celtic Manor, she will draw on her experience covering international business and financial markets to examine the changing technology landscape and what current economic and investment developments could mean for companies.
The discussion will explore emerging trends and market developments alongside the opportunities available to organisations seeking to harness new technology for growth.
Guests can also expect Streeter’s assessment of how the technology industry has been reshaped and where it could be heading next. Tech Talk Wales launched earlier this year in partnership with the Alacrity Foundation, with its inaugural event taking place in June.
The initiative has been established as a forum where people from across Wales’ technology sector can meet, exchange ideas and develop new business relationships. The September event will combine the discussion with informal networking, with drinks and canapes available during the evening.
With Wales continuing to develop its technology ecosystem, organisers hope the regular events will provide another opportunity for entrepreneurs, investors and technology professionals to make connections while hearing from influential figures across business, finance and innovation.
Tech Talk Wales takes place at the Celtic Manor Resort on September 10, from 5pm until 8pm. Attendance is free, although registration is required.
