Background
Pattern Group Inc has released Pi, its new pattern intelligence tool, at its Accelerate annual conference for e-commerce executives. Pi is an artificial intelligence (AI)-based execution engine designed to assist global companies in achieving growth and securing more market share on online marketplaces.
Pi uses active sensing along with action loops that observe the company’s deals, ads, content, pricing, and stock levels in real-time. Whenever Pi identifies a potential opportunity or threat, it acts quickly without any further input from a human being. When a decision requires human judgment, Pi surfaces a recommended action for approval. Every activity gets recorded and timestamped, keeping the process transparent and trackable.
Co-Founder and CEO Dave Wright said Pi does not simply surface insights; it acts on them. He added that the engine draws on over 13 years of data collection and logic execution, backed by 41 issued or pending patents, and is purpose-built to accelerate growth for brand partners.
Since rolling out across Pattern’s brand portfolio, Pi has already executed millions of automated actions, including featured offer recoveries, pricing adjustments, and content fixes, operating around the clock.
Pi’s current capabilities include a Daily Brief and Podcast, Chat-to-Data for on-demand ecommerce answers, pre-built Pi Skills for workflow automation, and a Knowledge Management System that lets brands load their own guidelines directly into Pi. It also offers scorecards tracking how AI shopping agents, including Amazon’s Alexa for Shopping, Walmart Sparky, ChatGPT, and Google AI Mode, rank brand products.
Pi is built on over 77 trillion proprietary data points, growing by more than 800 billion new points each week.
