  • Pi Green Innovations develops carbon capture technologies for industrial decarbonisation.
  • EcoGuard Global AG provides digital carbon infrastructure and emissions verification platforms.

Background

Pi Green Innovations and EcoGuard Global AG have joined hands to develop digital carbon capture solutions and build Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) systems for industrial clients across India and global markets.

The partnership intends to enhance emissions data credibility, which will enable companies to develop transparent carbon accounting systems that support future carbon credit generation. The move comes as India’s carbon market gains momentum with stronger policy support and a growing domestic compliance framework.

Under the agreement, EcoGuard will digitise Pi Green’s carbon capture methodology in line with international standards and Article 6 carbon market requirements. The companies plan to offer clients digitally verifiable and standards-aligned carbon projects that can support both compliance and trading opportunities in global carbon markets.

Pi Green will contribute its carbon capture and utilisation technologies, including systems that capture industrial emissions and convert them into carbon-negative construction materials using waste inputs. EcoGuard will provide its digital carbon infrastructure platform, which enables end-to-end emissions tracking, verification, registry-grade traceability, and digital carbon credit issuance.

Pi Green Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Irfan Pathan said the next phase of industrial decarbonisation will depend not only on advanced technology but also on the ability to measure and verify environmental impact with credibility. EcoGuard Chief Executive Officer Yashodhan Ramteke said transparent and auditable systems have become essential in the evolving carbon markets landscape.

The companies said the partnership will help clients replace fragmented and manual emissions reporting processes with more technology-driven and market-ready carbon project frameworks, while strengthening India’s position as a base for carbon abatement and cross-border carbon trading.
